Colin, He's not in a dual boot situation so each drive is individual. You would have to do this if Vista was the boot manager. Don, Choose which ever OS you want to boot first. For me it's Vista. I've read that there's a program called bcdedit.exe. I tried to make that one work on XP, but I failed. That's because Bcedit.exe is a Vista program.

I've got them as dual boot here, have done for the last few months, they haven't done anything of the sort. OK if you're in XP and select the Vista partition in disk manager and format it then yes the user is capable of destroying the other OS. But how is Windows itself capable of destroying it on its own?

Without any warning or reason, the drivers for the network adapter have gone, in between booting to Vista and back again to XP. The driver wizard fails to recognize the drivers
